Who knew I would ever like Kobe Bryant

Kobe is being interviewed by Chris Collinsworth. You don't have to watch the whole thing, I think the most important part comes around the 4:00 minute mark. Kobe is talking about being a proud American and Chris Collinsworth asks "is that a cool thing to say, in this day and age, that you love your country, that your fighting for the red white and blue, that's like sorta a day gone by?" Kobe responds very well, I am totally impressed with him (unbelievable!).

I am so tired of this "voice" that is constantly in the media that there is something wrong with being American, that it's not cool to be patriotic, to love your country, to think it's the best. Are you freaking kidding me!!! Maybe Chris should live somewhere else like maybe China, where he wouldn't be able to say whatever he wants; maybe then he wouldn't have to ask such a question, maybe then he would have some American pride. I wish I could go for Gold for my country; at least I have the choice.

There is nothing wrong with loving your country, with being patriotic - There is nothing wrong with loving America.

I am proud to be American.
