2008 Olympics

I am so frustrated with NBC! I don't understand why the Olympics are not LIVE! We have been watching as much as we can, but all the good stuff comes on so late. I understand there is a large time difference - but I don't get why they are not showing actual live coverage of let's say the Michael Phelps races?? I have looked at the schedule and the events have been pretty "early"; the swimming is starting at about 7 pm pacific time, so why are they waiting up to 3 hours to show it and then they are calling it live?? I can check online and see who won hours before it's on TV.

We are pretty lucky with Graham being in the cable business, we get TONS of channels. There a couple of new channels dedicated only to the Olympics, but still no actual live coverage. On one of the new channels they just list of their upcoming coverage, who knows when they actually show anything.

It's been pretty hit and miss with NBC and the other channels - I love watching the Olympics, but with the scheduling I can't catch anything I want to watch! Why do they broadcast the handball events when the USA are not even competing - couldn't they show something else? With all the technology we have today, I don't understand why we don't have better coverage.

So many unanswered questions, I am so frustrated!! I miss watching the Olympics :(
