Saturday we went with Graham to Harrah's casino, he was playing in a Texas hold 'em tournament. While he played we ate at the buffet and took the kids to the arcade. Unfortunately Graham didn't win he only played for 30 minutes; he said he didn't get any good cards.
We hung out at home the rest of the day and made our favorite Crab Boil for dinner - we love making it; a bunch of food in a pot (potatoes, chicken, corn on the cob, carrots, crab legs, clams, mussels, shrimp and seasoning). When it's done just dump it on the table and dig in. Everyone enjoyed it, we always do!
Doug thought we should get up really early (5 am!) and go to the lake on Sunday (if you get there too late, it's packed and takes forever to get your boat in the water), we all mostly agreed - it's always nice to have someone else to blame for getting up early on a weekend!
It turned out to be a good thing we were up so early; Doug's boat trailer had a flat tire and the tread was separated. Doug and Graham headed off to get a new tire, and when they returned we left - it was still relatively early. If we hadn't got up early we would have never got to the lake. +
Boating out on the lake was eventful with our back seat driver - Graham's mother. She really didn't like the ride- she yelled at Graham for going to fast (he wasn't, he was going slow for her) along with little screams of panic when we were jostled around. It was pretty funny, but she didn't think so!
I think the rain had chased people away for the weekend, there were plenty of spots and we picked a pretty good one. It was a very nice day, clear and sunny. We snorkeled and swam and the boys tried knee boarding and skiing, they even got out on the hot dog tube.
Here is Graham on the knee board - Go Babe!! I love this picture, Miriam (Doug's wife) took it with their camera - I want this camera, it takes great pictures!!!
After playing all day at the lake we headed home (it's only 15 minutes away). The gang then packed up and headed home for San Diego. I don't know how Doug drove home - I was so tired!

sounds so fun. I love the lake. I can just imagine riding in the boat with the wind through my hair. the faster the better. :)
