Mr. Fixit

My Sewing machine was broken for months, I put off taking it to the shop and tried to find out what was wrong myself with no luck. Finally one day I announced that I was taking it in to be repaired. Graham said "why don't you let me look at it first". I have to say I was annoyed! so many things went through my mind: I had already tried to fix it! It is a sewing machine, why would he be able to fix it, it's all electronic, etc, etc. I finally relented; fine he could look at it (in my mind he was not going to be able to fix it and it would just be one more day that it was broken).

That night he sat down with me by his side showing him how it was suppose to work (I was still a bit peeved). He tinkered and inspected and low and behold he fixed the damn thing!! I couldn't believe it, and I really can't believe the way I had acted, I had been such a jerk (sorry babe for doubting you!). I have learned my lesson not to doubt his ability; he has mad skills! I always new he could fix cars and such but now I know it's literally anything!

He constantly fixes our boat (genius - I am telling you!) and fixes his brothers boat, our cars, his families cars, fixes flat tires for friends, etc. He has every tool known to man, he busts out the most random tools all the time, he amazes me constantly. See! I should have known better about the sewing machine!

Just this last weekend he replaced the old cast iron intake on our boat engine: it was heavy, ugly and corroded:

He replaced it with a new aluminum intake; and so much better looking!

We are ready for the water this weekend (crossing my fingers for good weather), we can't wait to test it out.

Babe you are #1! I love you!
