Garage Sale

Our town is a little weird, we are the first one's to admit that. This weekend we had a garage sale. Growing up in San Diego a garage sale is something that happens very early in the morning, you have to get up and set up while it's still dark and be ready for the "early birds". Bullhead is quite opposite, we made the mistake about a year ago to go "Garage Sale Hunting" early one morning. We went and got coffee & a paper and headed out on our hunt. It was still dark. We drove around for over a hour looking for sales only to find that no one in this town starts early, a lot of the ads even said "no early birds". It had to have been well after 8 am before people were out and selling.

Don't get me wrong I am OK with this, it was nice to have a garage sale at a decent hour, we sold items for a couple hours, took down our signs and took the rest to The Salvation Army. We were done by 11am and we were not tired from getting up before dawn!

Other weirdness involving Garage Sales in Bullhead: Most start on Friday and last through Sunday, people sell all day for three days, there usually is no sign in front of the house that is actually having a garage sale, garage sale signs are on boxes on street corners with rocks in them so they don't blow away, people don't generally remove these boxes/signs this is annoying and very misleading.
